38 people took part in the sold-out City Journey 2011 which took place on Saturday 4th June. This time we visited seven great venues – Dundee House (new council offices), Tayside House, The Rep, The Shore, STV News studios, Tag Games and Dundee Science Centre. Thanks to everyone who took part in this event – both participants and hosts. Click here to see a full set of photographs of the City Journey 2011.

Go Dundee! the beginning

How it all began…

Go Dundee! I: Launch

carol_repl_blurry_IMG_9058

Go Dundee held our first event at the Apex Hotel in February 2005. A stimulating mix of local speakers, with input also from Carol Craig from the Centre for Confidence & Wellbeing. The local speakers shared stores of how they had initiated, or been part of a positive change that had impact on people’s lives, often against the odds!

There was also some structured dialogue centred around key questions, and the output from these conversations were analysed in depth, see mindmap summary below. For more details on this, including a summary of the themes that emerged, see the page Go Dundee! I page, or click here.

Go Dundee! II: …the art of the possible…

This follow up event in March 2006 was again hosted by the Apex Hotel Dundee, and had a mix of great speakers and stimulating dialogue. Sir Alan Langlands, Principal of Dundee University, on “Making it Possible”; Lia Ghilardi: Author & International Researcher on Cultural Development; and ‘Enterprise Anarchist’ Iain Scott on “Taking the First Step”. This mixed in with dialogue using the World Cafe methodology around questions that matter made for an extremely stimulating and motivating day. For more details see the Go Dundee! II page or click here.
