'City Journey 2011'
38 people took part in the sold-out City Journey 2011 which took place on Saturday 4th June. This time we visited seven great venues – Dundee House (new council offices), Tayside House, The Rep, The Shore, STV News studios, Tag Games and Dundee Science Centre. Thanks to everyone who took part in this event – both participants and hosts. Click here to see a full set of photographs of the City Journey 2011.

'What Did Science Ever Do For Dundee?'

Conversation, Music and Positive Emotion

On Monday 16th June we had our latest Go Dundee meeting.

IMG_6233_go dundee

It was a tremendous success with almost 150 people gathering to engage in dialogue around the issues of optimism, confidence and positive emotion.

Carol Craig spoke, we had the Dundee based band the Hazey Janes play a short unplugged set, and we engaged in dialogue around questions that mattered to us.

We will upload more onto the site when we get time:

  • photos,
  • recording of Carol’s talk (as an MP3 / podcast)
  • feedback/comments/ideas explored from the evening

  • Hi This is a great idea – i am looking forward to the bash on the 10th. DUNDEE WESTFEST is a community led initiative in the West End of Dundee which aims to celebrate the area’s diverse culture and vibrant community spirit. A week-long Festival will centre around five themes: art, drama, environment, history and music, culminating with a parade and party. The festival is open to all who want to take part whether that is a small community group, individual artists / performers, local residents and large organisations who are active in art, drama, environment, history and music. The objective is to harness the skills and enthusiasm of people in the West End to create a memorable and enjoyable festival which will generate benefits for the residents of the west end, visitors to the city and local businesses. The first festival will take place 20 -27June 2010 and be an annual event thereafter.
see you on the 10th kay
